Like Maddie, we wish to make a difference (M.A.D.). We are hosting an event that is unique and will empower youth and inspire families to participate together. This event will include interactive fun stations as well as a 5 km fun run / Walk.

We are expecting it to be a meaningful success as we join the Hamilton Waterfront's first annual WingFest (at the foot of James Street- Pier 8).

Proceeds will be donated to Free the Children, Maddie's project in Kenya.

"NO OPPORTUNITY WASTED" AND "FREE THE CHILDREN"
HELP A MOTHER FULFILL HER DAUGHTER’S LAST WISH

Episode Airs November 28, 2007 @ 8:30 P.M. ET/PT on CBC.  

We will be getting together at Philthy McNastys on Upper James the night of the event, Wed Nov 28th 7:00 pm -9:30 pm. We will watch the half hour show in two different time zones 7:30 pm, and 8:30 pm. A slide show of our experience in Africa will be shown.

We are excited that Paul Lamb will talk about his upcoming trip to Russia to climb Mt Elbrus for Maddie !!!
 
Philthy McNastys will be providing food during the evening. Event is free ! Join us. 

Toronto. Nov. 1, 2007 – “No Opportunity Wasted” teams up with the charity Free The Children to give  mother Sharon Babineau the opportunity to fulfill her daughter Maddie’s final wish – to build a well in the same Kenyan village where Maddie built a school so children there can attend class rather than fetch water. Sharon Babineau takes an emotional journey to the Masai Mara Reserve in Kenya with PEI school teacher and co-challenger Tara Stewart in the eighth episode of “No Opportunity Wasted” which airs Wed., Nov. 28 at 8:30 p.m. ET/PT on CBC Television.
